Dodge Challenger Export markets

Dodge Challengers were mainly produced for the U.S. and Canadian markets. Interestingly, Chrysler officially sold Challengers to Switzerland through AMAG Automobil- und Motoren AG in Schinznach-Bad, near Zurich.Only a few cars were shipped overseas each year to AMAG. They did the final assembly of the Challengers and converted them to Swiss specs. There are few AMAG cars still in existence. From

1971 Dodge Challenger R/T Muscle Car

1971 Dodge Challenger
This vehicle retains its unibody construction, and has been equipped with a chassis upgrades by Modern Muscle. They call a vehicle built this way a "Muscle Car." The chassis features a Modern Muscle independent front suspension that includes upper and lower control arms and power rack and pinion steering up front. In the rear, it features a four link suspension with coil overs.

The result is superlative ride and handling. Big SSBC disc brakes and Modern Muscle signature forged wheels are yet further examples of how this Challenger features 21st century upgrades. Dodge ZEO (Zero Emissions Operation) is the latest electric-only concept car from Dodge. Zeo, a four passenger sport wagon concept, is equipped with a 64kwh Lithium-Ion Battery pack capable of running at least 250 miles. According to Dodge, the ZEO's 268 horsepower (200 kilowatt) single-electric motor can go from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 6 seconds, which rivals Chrysler’s famed HEMI powerplant.

43rd production 2008 Challenger SRT8 sells for $228k

Bidding for the 43rd production 2008 Dodge Challenger ended two days ago after going on the auction block on Feb 12 with a starting bid of $25k. Winner rmartin175 won the bid for a total of $228,143.43. The B5 blue paint Dodge Challenger SRT8 had a total of 116 bids.

The number 43 pays a tribute to Richard Petty, who is famous for driving Mopar stock cars. A VIP race package to the Dodge Challenger 500 NASCAR race at the historic Darlington Raceway was also included.
